“My earliest memory of creating art was as a young child in primary school. I had to stay at my grandparents’ house, a quiet farm just outside my village. My grandmother, who had a deep love for painting herself, invited us to join her at the table. She took out supplies from her little atelier, and for the first time, I consciously played with color and brushes. That day, I painted a pine forest with a waterfall and a river flowing through it.
It wasn’t until my grandmother passed away that I picked up painting again at the age of 15. I became fascinated by organic forms, creating intricate root structures that I transferred onto canvas. My work was exhibited both nationally and internationally. But something didn’t feel right. Painting wasn’t it. I struggled with creative blocks, unable to find my place in the industry.
I experimented with different forms of creative expression, always searching, but none of them felt like home. At the end of 2023, I started reflecting on my journey, trying to find the red thread that connected everything I had ever created. That’s when I realized; nature had always been my foundation. It had influenced my paintings, my art, and without realizing it, my perspective on life.”
“It was during the summers I spent traveling with my parents, exploring different places abroad, that the influence of nature in my life was born. Every year, we would hike through untouched natural landscapes. I felt a sense of freedom when the landscape stretched out before me.
I saw that when Mother Nature is allowed to be, she surprises us and gives us the beautiful results of her creation force in return. Something that would have never evolved if we tamed and confined her with human hands. This mirrored something deep within me. It showed me that, just like nature, I am free. I too have a creative force within me, and if I allow myself to not be confined by the limits of others, I can give something beautiful back to the world.”
‘I started sketching, my intuition guiding me, feeling something powerful trying to translate it into the physical. That’s when Lófos Couture was born.
I decided to release one couture collection every year, each inspired by an element of nature, starting with flowers. But I didn’t just want to make dresses. I wanted to create a feeling. A deep, intuitive experience that celebrates our woman. I wanted them to feel the freedom I experienced in those landscapes. For them to realize that by releasing any limits, their force will change the world.
Beyond the designs, I believe in building a community, a space where artistry, storytelling, and a personal connection with my clients come together. Lófos Couture is an experience. And it all begins here.”
